Michigan Didn’t Seem Too Thrilled To Be Playing Alabama In College Football Playoff

As expected, the Michigan Wolverines were revealed as the No. 1 seed in the 2023-24 College Football Playoff but the big drama coming into Sunday’s CFP Selection Show was about who the Wolverines would be playing s the No. 4 seed.

The discussions as between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles.

It ended up being Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide, despite Florida State being undefeated and winning the ACC Championship Game. The reason Alabama got in over Florida State was due to the injury to Seminoles starting QB Jordan Travis.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg was in attendance to the Wolverines’ watch party captured the reaction of the Wolverines players and let’s just say they don’t seem thrilled to have to take on the Tide.

There’s no question that Michigan would probably prefer to play Florida State due to the injury to Travis over the red hot Crimson Tide, who are coming off a big win over the defending champion Georgia Bulldogs.

Michigan and Alabama will square off at the Rose Bowl on January 1st at 5 p.m. ET.
