The discussions as between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles.

It ended up being Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide, despite Florida State being undefeated and winning the ACC Championship Game. The reason Alabama got in over Florida State was due to the injury to Seminoles starting QB Jordan Travis.

There’s no question that Michigan would probably prefer to play Florida State due to the injury to Travis over the red hot Crimson Tide, who are coming off a big win over the defending champion Georgia Bulldogs.

Michigan and Alabama will square off at the Rose Bowl on January 1st at 5 p.m. ET.
