Even a former Alabama quarterback doesn’t think it’s far that Florida State was left out of the 2023 College Football Playoff.
Former Crimson Tide and current Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was a guest on Peyton and Eli Manning’s ManningCast and was asked about the controversial decision to have Alabama in the playoff while the undefeated Florida State Seminoles are out.
Tagovailoa explained that while he’s not sure what the “right” decision was for the committee, he doesn’t think it’s “fair” that Florida State got left out after a perfect season.
Tua gave a very diplomatic answer to avoid controversy but that doesn’t mean this topic is going away anytime soon.
