BREAKING: NFL To Play Regular Season Game In São Paulo, Brazil Next Season

The NFL’s International Series will be expanding next season, as the league has approved a regular-season game to be played in Brazil next season, São Paulo to be exact.

The NFL first played a game not on U.S. soil in 2007 when the Giants and Dolphins squared off in London, England, and after great success and growth of the game internationally since, the league has expanded to Germany and Mexico, as well as now, Brazil to give South American fans a taste of football as opposed to their more familiar, fútbol.

The game will kickoff at Cortinthians Arena, a 49,205 seat soccer stadium.

With today’s announcement, the NFL will have played a regular or preseason game in 5 of the 7 continents, with Africa and Antarctica only to remain.
