Refs Screw Broncos Out Of A TD After Calling A Phantom Offsides At The Goal Line

NFL officiating continues to intervene in games with horrendous calls.

During Saturday night’s Broncos-Lions game in Detroit, the Broncos were called for a phantom offsides penalty on a 4th and Goal play at the Lions 1-yard line.

The play ended with a Broncos touchdown but was called back because the referees called Denver for being offsides. After they showed the replay, it was clear that no one was offsides.

The Broncos settled for a field goal.

The controversial offsides call came a play after the referees called the Broncos short of the goal line despite replay showing Broncos RB Javonte Williams clearly crossing the goal line.
