The Crimson Tide are facing some controversy ahead of their College Football Playoff game against Michigan.
On Wednesday night, Alabama redshirt freshman OL Elijah Pritchett was arrested by Tuscaloosa Police and charged with knowingly passing on a sexually transmitted disease according the Tuscaloosa Thread.
He was later released on a $500 bond.
The offensive lineman has appeared in all 13 games this season for the Crimson Tide, but mainly in a reserve or special teams role. Early in the season, Pritchett was fighting for the left tackle starting job with Kadyn Proctor.
Back on December 15th, it was reported that Pritchett was planning on entering the transfer portal, but on Saturday he released a statement saying that transferring was “not in his best interest” and he would be staying at Alabama.
