CBS Reveals Special “Doink Cameras” For Super Bowl 58 Broadcast

This year’s Super Bowl will be broadcasted on CBS Sports and the network is pulling out all the stops to make sure the broadcast is the best it’s ever been.

On Thursday, the network released a statement revealing what they’re planning on doing for the broadcast including some new camera features. According to CBS Sports PR, the broadcast will feature 165 total cameras, 24 of which have 4K zoom capability. 

In addition, there will also be six “doink” cameras embedded int eh goalposts to give the viewers a glimpse of the field goals and the rest of the field. The broadcast will also feature drones, robotic cameras, pylon cams, augmented reality cameras, skycams, depth-of-field cameras and dozens of replay machines among others.

There will also be a special telecast designed for Nickelodeon, which will be simulcasting the game for kids.
