Steelers Have Discussed Using QB Justin Fields To Return Kickoffs

The Steelers traded for former Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields this offseason to presumably sit behind Russell Wilson and perhaps eventually compete for the starting job.

Turns out the Steelers are looking to use Field’s running ability on the field instead of wasting it on the bench.

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren said during an interview this week that his special teams coordinator had proposed using Justin Fields on kickoff returns under the new kickoff rules set to be enacted this season.
