Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh Won’t Give Out Any Injury Information Until The NFL Forces Him To

If Chargers fans or fantasy football guys or gals want know about injury stuff involving Chargers players, it appears as though they will have tow ait.

In his return to the NFL, Harbaugh is determined to conceal injury information about his team until the National Football League requires him to submit an injury report for Week 1.

Joe Reedy of the Associated Press warned everybody not to expect any Chargers injury updates until September.

Harbaugh’s approach was in full effect on Saturday when starting left tackle Rashawn Slater missed practice after leaving Friday’s practice early. Harbaugh said the star offensive tackle sat out of an “abundance of caution” but he deflected a reporter’s attempt to ask about Slater’s injury.

“I don’t know,” Harbaugh said, via Alex Insdorf. “I’m not going to categorize it.”

Harbaugh’s approach also created some confusion with running back Gus Edwards’ status. On Wednesday, Harbaugh told reporters that the running back underwent offseason surgery. However, he later said that wasn’t the case.

Harbaugh said Saturday that Edwards is “being brought back into play” without ever specifying an injury.

Meanwhile, Harbaugh said that tight end Donald Parham is “working through something.” He repeated the same phrase when a reporter asked for clarification.

That’s how it seems like it’s going to be the Chargers under the watchful eye of Jim Harbaugh.
