Matthew Judon remains on a “hold in” with the Patriots and is reportedly seeking a reworked deal.
As the days have gone by, the situation between Judon and the Patriots seems to be getting worse with the pass rusher called out the Patriots for “making him look bad” after a report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini on Wednesday claimed that the Patriots made him an offer.
“No they haven’t, but it makes me look bad again,” he said in response to a social media user relaying the news. “Don’t believe the lies.”
Judon did not suit up with the team on its first day of full pads on Monday but was present in street clothes. During the practice, he was seen having an animated back-and-forth with head coach Jerod Mayo before seemingly being sent off the field.
This offseason, the Patriots had a concerted effort to re-sign several of their own players, most recently defensive tackle Davon Godchaux to a two-year deal worth up to $21 million.
It’ll be interesting to see how this situation develops as the relationship between Judon and the Patriots seems to be getting worse and worse.
