We’ve seen a lot of fights during practice and while they’ve become apart of the training camp, that doesn’t mean coaches around the NFL are accepting it.
In fact, first year head coach Jerod Mayo has come up with the perfect way to punish his Patriots players who get into skirmishes.
Mayo told players that starters who fight will play the entire upcoming preseason game. If a backup gets into a fight, Mayo says they won’t play in the preseason game at all.
The Patriots and Eagles are currently taking part in a two-day joint practice and so far, it seems like Mayo’s tactic is working because there were no tussles during the first of two joint practices.
