REPORT: Seahawks Are Trading Pass Rusher Darrell Taylor To Chicago Bears

After failing to trade for Matthew Judon last week, the Chicago Bears finally land some pass-rush help.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bears acquired Darrell Taylor from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Taylor, a 2020 second-round pick, missed his entire rookie season in Seattle due to a leg fracture. Since the 2021 season, Taylor has tallied 21.5 sacks in 49 games in 13 starts.

“It’s exciting for us to get Taylor,” Bears coach Matt Eberflus said on 670 The Score in Chicago. “He’s got sack production, a really good pass rusher. He fits our scheme in terms of his effort, his style, his disposition.”

The Bears ended their preseason on Thursday night with a 34-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. They will open the season Sept 8 against the Tennessee Titans.
