As it turns out, you can’t name your fantasy football team anything you want on the ESPN platform.
Fantasy football users discovered this week that “White Lives Matter” is not allowed on the World Wide Leader in Sports’ platform.
If someone tries to submit that team name, ESPN’s fantasy football service responds with this message: “Team name/abbreviation contains a banned word.” On the flip side, “Black Lives Matter” is an acceptable team name for ESPN.
ESPN has not addressed the issue and probably won’t but this decision has left a lot of people mad.
