Steelers QB Russell Wilson ‘Headed To Doctors’ After Suffering Injury Ahead Of Week 1 vs Falcons

The days before the season-opener against the Atlanta Falcons, the Pittsburgh Steelers got some worrisome news from their starting quarterback Russell Wilson.

Wilson was limited in practice on Thursday with calf tightness and head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that Wilson was being evaluated by team doctors.

The team will know more about Wilson’s status after the doctors evaluate him.

Wilson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers this past offseason after getting cut by the Denver Broncos. Pittsburgh also went out and acquired Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears.
