Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been transported to the University of Kansas Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center, according to Will Kunkel of FOX26Houston.
Dell had his entire left leg placed in a vacuum splint before he departed on an ambulance cart to an awaiting ambulance for the 12-mile ride to the Kansas City hospital. He will likely undergo emergency surgery.
Dell suffered a serious leg injury on a 30-yard touchdown catch when teammate Jared Wayne ran into his knee.
The Texans fell to the Chiefs, 27-19.
