Dolphins Place QB Tua Tagovailoa On Injured Reserve Because Of Concussion Suffered vs Bills

The Miami Dolphins have placed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve on Tuesday after he suffered a concussion last Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills.

It remains unclear how long Tagovailoa will be sidelined but at the very least, he will miss at least four games. According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Tua will have the “opportunity to seek continued medical advice” while he heals from the latest concussion.

Tagovailoa, who has a history of head trauma, was concussed by a hit to the head in the third quarter of Thursday’s 31-10 loss to the Bills.

Backup Skyler Thompson will take over as the team’s starting quarterback and the Dolphins also signed former Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley on Monday.
