Antonio Pierce Calls Out Raiders Players After Loss To Panthers: “Some Guys Made Business Decisions”

Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce did not mince his words following an embarrassing 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

During his post game press conference, Pierce was asked about the performance and said he felt some players made “business decisions” during the loss, and the coaching staff will respond accordingly.

“I think there were definitely some individuals that made business decisions,” Pierce told reporters. “And we’ll make business decisions going forward as well.”

Pierce basically believes that some of his players gave up a bit in the second half when the game was clearly out of reach, and suggested those players could face consequences that could result in them being released from the team.

The Raiders were coming into Sunday’s home opener very confident after a big win over Baltimore Ravens last week and were probably counting on a victory against a hopeless Panthers team that dealt with their own drama through the week. Instead, the Raiders were carved up by Andy Dalton and the offense was held to just one touchdown over the first three quarters.

The Raiders will look to get back on track next Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns at Allegiant Stadium.
