Nothing says unnecessary distractions like your dad with the same name as you getting arrested the week of the Super Bowl.
That was exactly the case for Patrick Mahomes when Pat Mahomes Sr. was arrested for the second time for driving under the influence days before the Chiefs took on the 49ers in Super Bowl 58.
TMZ has obtained police footage of Mahomes Sr. pleading with officers to trying to get out of his arrest by name dropping his son, saying it would blow his chances at winning the Super Bowl.
The 54-year-old then repeated tried to interrupt the arresting officer while reading his rights, then calling the arrest “f**ed up” despite saying he’s driven drunk multiple times before.
