San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was carted to the locker room after suffering a leg injury against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aiyuk’s knee bent awkwardly after taking a hit from a Chiefs defensive player and the fears were that the injury was significant.
As it turns out, it was as 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that the fear is that Brandon Aiyuk tore his ACL during the 28-18 loss to the Chiefs.
Aiyuk’s season was off to a slow start after the receiver held out for the entire offseason for a new contract. He hauled in just 351 yards and no touchdowns through the first six games.
