On Friday night, Iowa defeated Nebraska thanks to a game-winning field goal from Drew Stevens with the game clock expiring. Unfortunately, fans watching this rivalry game at home didn’t see the kick go through the uprights.
For some ridiculous reason, NBC’s camera was so horribly angled that you couldn’t see where Stevens’ field goal landed. All you heard was the announcer say, “Got it! Hawks win!” Obviously, the crowd’s reaction to the kick was a dead giveaway that Stevens made his attempt from 53 yards out.
With the win over Nebraska this week, Iowa improved to 8-4 on the season.
