During Week 15 of the 2024 NFL regular season between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, 49ers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell made headlines after he refused to enter the game and walked off the field, seemingly quitting on the 49ers.

Campbell was heavily criticized and scrutinized for the incident while the 49ers subsequently suspended him for the remainder of the season while keeping him under contract. But in the months since the incident, Campbell hasn’t addressed incident publicly until this week when he unloaded on social media, responding to fans that are calling him out over the incident.

In a series of expletive-filled tweets, Campbell declared that he’s tired of hearing people talking about him and what he did. He called out the many people who have criticized him without talking to him personally to get his side of the story.

Campbell is a free agent after signing a 1-year deal with the 49ers last offseason. He, obviously, won’t be back with the 49ers and the question remains will anyone take a chance on the 31-year-old linebacker.
