The final pick in the NFL Draft, also known as “Mr. Irrelevant” has gained new significance in the league ever since Brock Purdy emerged as one of the league’s most successful QBs. The New England Patriots had the pick this year and celebrated their selection in a controversial way.
With the 257th and final pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Patriots selected Memphis defensive back Kobee Minor. Upon announcing the pick, the Patriots social media team took to X and wrote “A Minorrrrrrrr” – referencing Kendrick Lamar’s dig at Drake during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.
But as funny as it may have been in the moment, someone at Patriots HQ must have found it a little too spicy. The post on X was promptly taken down, but not before being saved in a screenshot for all the world to see:
