One year after signing him to a three-year, $51.1 million contract, the Philadelphia Eagles are trading defensive end Bryce Huff to the San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The trade is expected to be finalized next week after the calendar turns to June, includes a restructured contract for Huff, Schefter reports. Huff was set to make $16.75 million fully guaranteed in 2025, but the Eagles will take on $9.05 million in salary, leaving San Francisco to take on the remaining $7.95 million.
San Francisco is expected to send a mid-round draft pick to the Eagles in exchange for Huff.
The trade will reunite Huff with his former head coach with the New York Jets, Robert Saleh, who returned to the 49ers as their defensive coordinator.
