James Cook got paid.
The Buffalo Bills and Cook agreed on a four-year, $48 million contract extension that includes $30 million guaranteed, multiple news outlets reported and later announced by the Buffalo Bills.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane said Cook signed his new deal, which links him with the team through 2029, before practice Wednesday morning.
All signs pointed to an extension being close after Cook returned to Bills practice on Tuesday following a hold-in that lasted more than week, during which Cook missed Buffalo’s first preseason game.
The Buffalo Bills selected James Cook in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft (63rd overall). He is a two-time Pro Bowler.
