When NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson announced on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that commercials are going to be aired during RedZone, social media went ablaze with football fans all around the country erupted in complaints and jabs at Disney, ESPN and the NFL.
But a day later, details are beginning to emerge about the types of commercials that will be aired during RedZone and dare I say, they arent’ too bad?
According to Front Office Sports, there will be four 15-second ads in the seven-hour edition of RedZone in Week 1. There will not be full ad breaks, where the football action disappears from the screen.
“It’s an incredibly small ad load,” an NFL spokesperson told Front Office Sports. While ads are playing, viewers will hear the audio of the ads, but the other box will show NFL RedZone.
I guess this isn’t that bad after all, as long as the NFL keeps this way and we don’t see an increase in ads but as we all know when it comes to the National Football League, the bottom line is what matters most.
