North Texas defensive tackle Kevin Huddleston paid homage to Stone Cold Steve Austin after making a big play during Saturday’s game against Army.
After recovering a fumble during the first quarter, Huddleston sported a championship belt around his neck and was seen smashing two cans together before pouring them on his face:
While Austin was known for doing the same celebration with cans of beer during WWE’s Attitude Era, it is safe to assume Huddleston used a non-alcoholic beverage.
Although Austin retired from in-ring competition after WrestleMania 19 in 2003 before returning for a one-off match at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, he remains ingrained in pop culture.
