President Trump Praises Shedeur Sanders After Winning First Career Start: “I Told You So!”

President Donald Trump was always a Shedeur Sanders believer and after his first career start where he led the Browns to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Trump took a victory lap.

“Shedeur Sanders was GREAT,” he posted on the Truth Social media platform. “Wins first game, career start, as a pro. Great Genes. I TOLD YOU SO!” Trump wrote on the social media platform.

Trump had gone to bat for Sanders during the NFL draft, when he endured arguably the biggest freefall in NFL history from the projected first round to the fifth, where the Browns traded up to draft him at No. 144.

“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID?” he posted on Truth Social on Day 2 of the draft. “Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. “He should be ‘picked’ IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”

Sanders went 11 of 20 for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception. he also fired off a 52-yard bomb to fellow rookie receiver Isaiah Bond, which was the longest play from scrimmage for the Browns all season.

The impressive debut led to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski to name Sanders as the starter for next Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
