REPORT: DK Metcalf Hospitalized Overnight In Baltimore After Steelers Win vs Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf was hospitalized overnight in Baltimore after experiencing stomach pains on the team’s plane before it took off after the Steelers’ 27-22 win over the Ravens on Sunday.

The Steelers released a statement saying that Metcalf remained in Baltimore overnight dealing with the stomach pain and is flying back to Pittsburgh today.

The steelers medical staff decided “out of abundance of caution” to have Metcalf go to the hospital for examination rather than fly back with the team.

During the game, there was no instant where Metcalf was injured. He played over 80 percent of the Steelers’ offensive snaps. He hauled in seven passes for a season-high 148 yards.

Metcalf will have an extra day of rest before the Steelers play again. They host the Miami Dolphins at Acrisure Stadium on Monday Night Football in Week 15.
