Garrett Wilson’s season is over.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn announced Friday that Wilson will remain on injured reserve with the knee injury that has kept him sidelined since early November.
“Garrett’s doing a really good job in his rehab, but what we’re going to do — just talking to docs, talking to him — is we’re going to hold him out for the rest of the season and he will be ready to go as the offseason program starts up,” Glenn said. “And I’m excited about that.”
The Jets are 3-11 and their season has been over so it makes sense not to risk any further injury to Wilson. Let him heal up for 2026.
This year will be Wilson’s first time not eclipsing 1,000 yards as it’s something he’s done in each of his first three seasons. His fourth season ends with him tallying just 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns.
The Jets will travel to New Orleans to face the Saints in Week 16 before closing the season out with a game at home against the Patriots and on the road against the Buffalo Bills.
