
Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing some serious criminal charges.
According to Boston25News.com, Diggs is facing, Diggs has been charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges stemming from an incident that took place on December 2nd, a day after the Patriots Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants.
Diggs’ attorney appeared in court on Tuesday, seeking to have the police report “impounded”, arguing that the details should “remain sealed.”
The veteran wide receiver is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, January 23rd, two days before the AFC Championship Game is scheduled to be played.
Diggs, 32, signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the Patriots this past offseason and has been an intricate part of the team’s success.
