Commanders Release Renderings For Their New $3.8 Billion Stadium At RFK Site

The Washington Commanders released the first photo renderings of their future stadium on Thursday, while celebrating the stadium’s “state-of-the-art design.”

The stadium will be located at the old RFK Stadium site.

Last September, the Commanders gained final approval from Washington, D.C. City Council to build a new stadium on the grounds of the old RFK Stadium, which was the home of the Commanders from 1961 to 1996.

The cost of the new 65,000-seat stadium will cost roughly $3.8 billion to construct, and is schedule to be open in 2030. Since 1997, the Commanders have played in Landover, Maryland, at the venue currently known as Northwest Stadium.
