One of the biggest storylines of the offseason will be centered about Raiders’ Maxx Crosby and his future after he became disgruntled with the team’s decision to shut him down.
While Maxx Crosby hasn’t formally requested a trade from Las Vegas, The Athletic’s Dianni Russini indicated on “Zo & Bertrand” show that he’s unhappy and wants to be moved.
Crosby has a team in mind, the New England Patriots.
“I can tell you, I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel,” Russini said on Radio Row. “He’s told me before.”
It’s unclear if Crosby will ask for a trade, or if the Raiders have any interest in trading the 28-year-old.
Crosby’s relationship with Las Vegas Raiders soured after a disagreement on how they would handle his injury. After the shut him down for the final two weeks of the regular season, Crosby reportedly left the facility.
The Patriots, despite being in the Super Bowl, have a need for a pass rusher and Crosby certainly will fill that need. He had 10 sacks and 20 quarterback hits for the Raiders in 2025.
New England will have plenty of cap space to add Crosby and have draft picks at their disposal if the Raiders do make the superstar available for a trade.
But first, the Patriots will try to win a Super Bowl on Sunday when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
