
The Atlanta Falcons have found their general manager.
The team announced that they ware naming Ian Cunningham as their general manager. Cunningham spent the last four years as the assistant general manager in Chicago behind Ryan Poles. He joins a Falcons front office that consists of new President of Football Matt Ryan and head coach Kevin Stefanski to make the new braintrust in Atlanta.
Cunningham was one of six candidates to interview virtually for the job, and he was joined in the final round by Texans assistant GM James Liipfert, who impressed the Falcons in his first-ever GM interview.
He was the finalist for the Jaguars general manager job that ultimately went to James Gladstone, as well as the a finalist for the Washington Commanders GM job that went to Adam Peters.
