This is a big loss for the New Orleans Saints.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that longtime Saints linebacker Demario Davis has signed a two-year contract with the New York Giants. The deal is worth $22 million and includes $15 million guaranteed.
Davis, 37, set a career-high in tackles with the Saints last season but will be taking his talents elsewhere in 2026. The five-time All-Pro was twice selected for the Pro Bowl (2022, 2023) and was chosen as a team captain in each of his eight years in New Orleans.
This is Davis’ third stint with Gang Green. The Jets selected him in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Davis played with the Jets through the 2015 season before signing with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent.
Davis was traded back to the Jets in 2017, played another season for Gang Green, then left again in free agency when he signed with the New Orleans Saints.
