It’s ironic that Aldon Smith is being signed to a team on April 1st.
According to Jay Glazer, the Dallas Cowboys have signed the defensive end after spending four years away from the league due to off the field issues.
Breaking: The #dallascowboys have signed former Pro Bowl LB/DE Aldon Smith to a one-year, marking the end of a 4-year absence. Clean and sober now, incredible how much he’s turned his life around. @NFLonFOX @dallascowboys

The former 49ers 7th overall draft pick was drafted by San Francisco in 2011 NFL Draft and had a promising start before failing a slew of drug tests and getting arrested numerous times, once 3 times in a single month.
Smith will still need to be reinstated by the NFL before being able to see time on the field.
