The Swifties are inevitable.
Less than 24 hours after Taylor Swift was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears, sitting in tight end’s Travis Kelce’s suite, alongside his mother, Travis’ merchandise sales have taken off.
“Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” Fanatics told TMZ Sports.
Kelce’s popularity has taken off so much that he’s overtaken Patrick Mahomes as the top seller on the Kansas City Chiefs online store and is the No. 2 seller overall on NFL Shop.
If this is the start of the Kelce-Swift relationship, one can imagine that Travis’ popularity will only continue to grow as Swift’s global fanbase will tune in more and more to watch Kelce and the Chiefs.
The Chiefs travel to East Rutherford to face the New York Jets in Week 4 on Sunday Night Football. We’ll wait and see if Taylor Swift is in attendance for that one.
