Ben Johnson Says Caleb Williams Suffered A Hamstring Injury, Avoided Knee Injury

The Chicago Bears lost starting quarterback Caleb Williams to an injury late in the 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.

Following the game, Bears head coach Ben Johnson revealed that Williams suffered a hamstring injury but he’s unsure the severity of it. Johnson went on to add that he’s happy that Caleb didn’t suffer a knee injury and said Williams was in “good spirits.”

Williams was 15-of-26 for 138 yards with an interception at the time of his departure. He also rushed for 42 yards on five carries.

With Williams out, the Bears will start Tyson Bagent at quarterback.
