Following the Eagles heartbreaking 20-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints, many players sat at their locker room wondering what could’ve been after breaking out to a 14-0 lead during Sunday’s Divisional Round game.
For Eagles WR Alshon Jeffrey, the loss will be about the drop that ended up costing the Eagles the game and ultimately ending their season.
Jeffrey had the Nick Foles pass travel right through his hands and right into Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore’s hands for an interception.
Following the game, Jeffrey sent this heartfelt message to Eagles fans:
“I’ll take that loss. It’s on me.” Alshon Jeffery says he let team and city down, but vows Eagles will be back next year. pic.twitter.com/TKRxFCJQOp
