WR Antonio Brown Asks The Pittsburgh Steelers To Trade Him

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a tumultuous start to their 2018 season, and the end has been no different.

The Steelers failed to reach the playoffs despite starting the season 7-2 Sunday, counting on a Cleveland Browns win that didn’t happen to squeeze them in.

Antonio Brown was inactive for their Week 17 must-win game, which we found out the following day was attributed to a despite the star WR had with his quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger in the week leading up to the game.

Sources at the Steelers facility reported that Brown threw a ball at the feet of Ben Roethlisberger in a “fairly ugly” altercation in which he was “totally in the wrong.” Brown walked out of practice and then proceeded to skip the team’s Saturday walk-through the following day.

Just one day later, it was made public that Brown wasn’t even on speaking terms with Roethisberger and was upset with head coach Mike Tomlin as well. That news has now snowballed into Brown asking for the team to trade him.

Drafted in 2010 by Pittsburgh, the 30-year-old has emerged into arguably the NFL’s best WR in recent years, averaging over 100 catches a season for 1,500 yards and 11 TDs.
