It’s about damn time.

The Minnesota Vikings have finally parted ways with struggling kicker Blair Walsh, a move that their fan base has been begging for a while now.

Walsh, who missed the game-winning field goal in last year’s playoff game vs Seahawks, came into this season struggling and although he’s been OK statisitcally, he has missed extra-points and field goals in crtiical moments for the Vikings.

Walsh was 15-for-19 on extra points (78.9 percent) and 12-for-16 on field goals (75 percent) this year, and most recently he missed a critical extra point against the Redskins last Sunday.

It’s been a rough few weeks for Walsh, who has been getting crushed by fans and media and his last media session with reporters did not go so well.
