The incident occurred back in February and was made public, but the severity was not known until Friday when police released the servalence footage.
The situation shares a close resemblence to the incident that derailed and eventually ended Ray Rice’s career. Footage of the former Ravens RB assaulting his fiancé was released months after the incident, and punishment was handed down only after the video was made public.
The indefinite suspension comes just days after Roger Goodell also placed Reueben Foster on the list following his domestic violence incident. The linebacker was picked up by the Redskins following his release from the 49ers.
Both Hunt and Foster will remain unable to play until the league decides the proper punishment if any at all.
