Though the late season success in Dallas led many to believe Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would extend his head coach Jason Garrett, that will not be the case.
Jerry Jones is not expected to extend the contract of Cowboys’ HC Jason Garrett, short or long term, as he now enters the final year of his contract, per @toddarcher.

Garrett earned his first extension (5-years, $30 million) after three straight 8-8 finishes from 2011-13 and will be coaching for another in 2019 coming off a 10-6 season where the Cowboys won the NFC East.

He will be paired on the sideline with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, who has replaced Scott Linehan.
