Saquon Barkley has been everything the Philadelphia Eagles thought he would be when they signed him this past offseason. As he continues to to have a career year in his first year with Philly, many are perplexed as to why the New York Giants let him go.
On Thursday Night, after Saquon rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Eagles to a 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders, Eagles fans decided to thank the Giants for letting Barkley go.
If everyone remembers Hard Knocks, they remember that famous clip of Giants team owner John Mara telling general manager Joe Schoen that he would have trouble sleeping at night if Barkley signed with the Eagles.
Someone might want to check up on Mr Mara.
With the win, the Eagles take over sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
