Deondre Francois’ Ex-GF Says She Faked Domestic Violence Video Because She Wanted Attention

A day after Florida State announced that they’ve dismissed starting quarterback Deondre Francois due to allegations of domestic violence, the women who accused him of abusing her is saying it was all a lie.

In the video that was posted on Saturday, Diamond Lindsey, Francois’ ex-girlfriend, accused him of “beating” her. In the video, a man’s voice threatens violence against a female, although no individuals can be seen in it:

Monday afternoon, Lindsey wrote that the sounds in the video were of her hitting him and of her throwing objects. It’s unclear when the video was shot, and a Tallahassee Police Department spokesman said Monday that she never contacted the department to investigate.

Monday’s post has since been deleted, and the Instagram account no longer exists.

Also Monday, Francois’ name appeared in the NCAA’s transfer portal, according to Stadium reporter Brett McMurphy.
