In the spirit of Christmas, Tennessee Volunteers football coach Butch Jones gave his walk-on tight end Alex Ellis the best present a walk-on player could ever ask for.
During a tea meeting, as The Vols are preparing for their Bowl game, Jones had announced that he was going to hand out bowl gifts to some deserving players. That’s when he called up Ellis to the front of the room and gave the red-shirt junior the awesome present: a scholarship.
I doubt that anyone including St. Nick would be able to top that gift for Ellis.
