Man, losing a basketball game like this sucks.
With the clock winding down during a Kansas eighth-grade boys basketball game between the Rock Creek Mustangs and Riley County Falcons and the Mustangs trailing the Falcons, 26-25, a Rock Creek player drove to the lane for a game-winning layup.
It appeared it was going to fall as the ball ricocheted off the backboard and just sat on the rim and unfortunately for the Mustangs, that’s all it did.
The basketball remained in his position on the back of the rim as time expired, resulting in one of the most heartbreaking loses in the history of sports.
