LOUDOUN COUNTY, VI -The Carolina Panthers shocked just about every NFL fan including their own, when they decided to rescind the franchise tag or arguably their second best player, Josh Norman.
Just two days later, he’s now a Washington Redskin.
After receiving heavy interest from numerous teams, the Redskins and 49ers emerged as front-runners, with Dan Synder sending his private jet to finish the deal.
I’m told CB Josh Norman has agreed to terms with the #Redskins.

Josh Norman gets $51m over the first three years of a five-year deal that is worth $75m total. Now the highest paid CB in the NFL.

If you want entertainment value to come from an unrestricted free-agent signing, this has it all. Norman and Giants WR Odell Bekcham Jr. faced off in a matchup during that regular season that made Pacquiao vs Maywether look like a tea party. With Norman having signed into the NFC East, he will face off with Beckham twice a year, if not more barring the teams meet in the playoffs.
Josh Norman vs. Odell Beckham Jr twice a year now.

Norman will be facing another top diva, we mean talent, at the wide receiver position, a guy by the name of Dez Bryant in Dallas twice a year as well.
Now the last marquee free agent signee the Redskins brought in was the infamous Albert Haynesworth, which ended up being one of the worst signings in recent history, but we’ll have to see how this one all plays out. The signing makes Norman the highest paid cornerback in the National Football League, with a deal worth $75 million over 5 years.
