San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is reportedly set to miss multiple games due a toe injury he suffered during the team’s Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Purdy is dealing with “a variant of turf toe” that is expected to keep him out for between two and five weeks:
Injuries are once again hampering the 49ers’ season as it was reported earlier this week that tight end George Kittle was going to miss time with a hamstring injury.
With Purdy out, the 49ers will turn to Mac Jones to take over. Jones was a first-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2021. His tenure in New England ended with a record of 18-24 as a starter across three seasons.
