For those not watching the first game of the season Thursday night, many may have been confused when they first got the notification or news that Brandon Marshall refused to stand for the National Anthem. Since when did Brandon Marshall get traded back to the Broncos?
Whelp, there’s two Brandon Marshall, one linebacker for the Broncos and the most popular one, the wide receiver for the NY Jets, ironically formerly a Bronco himself.
Following in Kaepernick’s footsteps, Marshall sparked plenty of criticism, particularly on Twitter. There was just one problem. Brandon Marshall’s phone must have been blowing up with the hundreds upon hundreds of hate tweets directed someone completely different, sending messages to @BMarshall, instead of @BMarshh54.
betrayer of this dear country!!!! @BMarshall
