Coming into this season, many projected the Jaguars to finally put all the pieces together. In regard to the Cowboys, the projections with a Tony Romo-less team looked bleak.
That’s not exactly how things have worked out.
As the Jaguars are off to a disappointing start and have failed to climb out of their purgatory of below .500, the Cowboys find themselves atop their division and with the 2nd best record in the league. One player maybe more responsible than anyone else for that? Ezekiel Elliott.
The rookie running back who’s off to the second best start by such in NFL history, has more rushing yards after contact than the Jacksonville Jaguars have in total.
The Jaguars have 355 rushing yards total this season. However, 90 of them come from Blake Bortles. Take only halfbacks into consideration, and you’ve got this:
TJ Yeldon (176 yards)
Chris Ivory (75 yards)
Denard Robinson (14 yards)
