It would be crazy enough to see Marshawn Lynch back playing football after announcing his retirement a season ago. Now picture him in a Patriots jersey.
According the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe, the 30-year old Lynch has privately expressed interest in playing for Patriots, the team associated with the infamous handoff that never was in Super Bowl 49, if talks break off with the Oakland Raiders.

Though technically still a Seattle Seahawk, Lynch met with the Raiders last week, discussing a possible return after his year-long hiatus.
The Patriots, who haven’t budged on their contract offer to current RB LeGarrette Blount, will be in the market for a power running back if Blount departs. New England has also worked out Adrian Peterson, but seeing BeastMode in a Pats uniform could be just as scary.
